“A plant survived 50
years in a bottle”, this was the matter that made everyone with wide eyes in
the year 2013. Container will have a bottle plant recently grown, Oxygen and
sufficient water is added inside the container so as to provide basic needs for
the plant. Soil moisture, oxygen and temperature sensors are used to know the
changes and the parameters affecting the plant’s life. This experiment will
help us to understand that how long a Bottle plant can survive and upon its success
it could be helpful for us to make giant bottle gardens in future and thereby
creating a hope for natural oxygen and food.
In our experiment, a bottle plant is sent from earth and
kept in a observation. The monitoring module which comprises of oxygen, soil
moisture and temperature sensor keeps tracking the bottle plant and sends the
daily report to the station.
